Ep 169: Risk First, Profit Later
In crypto, most people enter the market focused on how much they can make, but experienced investors focus first on what they can lose. Profit is uncertain, but risk is always present, and controlling it is what keeps you in the game long enough to succeed. Every trade should begin with a clear understanding of invalidation—knowing exactly where your idea fails—because once risk is defined, decisions become structured instead of emotional. Many losses don’t come from bad analysis, but from ignoring risk management, overexposure, or refusing to accept small losses. Smart investors don’t try to avoid losses entirely; they focus on keeping them small while allowing winners to grow. In the long run, protecting capital is more important than chasing returns, because survival is the foundation of consistency and long-term growth.
